CRT Report on Directly Managed Moorings Sales Consultation
CRT has published its report on the above consultation, which received 72 written responses including NABO’s. The responses have been used to revise and amend the proposals where CRT felt this was justified. Key CRT decisions are:
Better towpaths
Better towpaths for everyone David Fletcher shares some thoughts on sharing towpaths. CRT has published its national policy for sharing towpaths, and I have heard presentations on it in a number of meetings. It has also been an agenda item for user groups this spring. From the policy’s words, the main three area of focus […]
Stove failure
Solid fuel stove fails The failure of a solid fuel stove was reported at a recent BSS meeting. The base-plate of the stove had cracked badly on three sides and allowed air into the stove under the ash-pan. The stove went into thermal runaway because of the extra air getting in, but fortunately the owner […]
NABO meets CRT
NABO meets CRT Mark Tizard reports on a recent meeting with CRT’s Head of Customer Services. On Wednesday 29 April, Mike Rodd and I met with Ian Rogers and we had a good, open exchange of views. CRT’s Mark Stephens receives John Gould Award
At today’s AGM of the K&A Canal Trust, Mark Stephens, until recently CRT’s K&A Waterways Manager, was awarded the prestigious John Gould Award for 2014 by KACT’s President, David Bruce.

NABO’s submission on CRT’s Private Boaters’ Licence Terms and Conditions
NABO has submitted a full response to CRT’s intended T&C's, taking into consideration their previous response to our initial submission. NABO understands that CRT will go ahead with these new T&C's from the 1st May 2105 but, given the up-swell of feelings from our members (and indeed, the droves of non-members who have contacted us), […]
