BW Appeal for Computer Volunteers

NABO and other stakeholder organisations have been asked to help BW quickly integrate a new computer programme across all its offices. Anyone with experience is asked to offer a few hours help

around the system. BW are changing IT supply and will be using the New Windows 7 operating system and the Office 2010 programme .

Their idea is that if experienced users would spend a couple of days or even a few hours showing BW staff at their offices the basics and where things differ from XP and Office 2003 then the change will be smooth.

They will pay travel expenses and provide coffee!

Any member who could perhaps help should either contact Secretary Richard Carpenter who will arrange the right introduction or contact  Caroline Killeavy,Head of Community Engagement,

British Waterways, Direct Dial – 01636 675730, Mobile07710 175504.

We would suggest this is the type of thing where volunteering should be successful and it would give any volunteer a good insight into the workings of the offices at the same time.
