Bridgewater Canal update
The canal owners have provided an update. 𝐍𝐞𝐱𝐭 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩𝐬: Regular monitoring of stoplogs and the earth dam to ensure robust short- and medium-term water retention. Investigating the cause of the embankment failure. Developing a comprehensive repair strategy and we will be working closely with stakeholders to implement it. EA have announced the outcome of the ‘Consultation on Environment Agency Navigation boat registration charges from January 2025 at an extraordinary joint National Waterways Forum and National Waterways Advisory Group meeting.
