Boaters who have problems checking any emergency stoppages on line whilst cruising may like to know they can get these on the Canalphone Service at the number above – might be worth putting the number into your mobile before setting off!

BW say it is considering improved ways of getting important stoppage information to customers in a timely and accessible way and would appreciate boaters letting it know what they think of the current service provided by Canalphone. They ask for feedback on the service to their address canalphone@britishwaterways.co.uk. Perhaps anyone who uses the service would also let us know using our Contact Us page as well?
