BW have recently decided that they ought to be enforcing their draught limits on the Ribble Link from 2012 onwards. Up to the present, the published limit has been 2 foot, but this has not been checked.

BW are now looking into how many boats have crossed the link with a draught in excess of the recommended 24 inches. If YOU know any boat with a deep draught who has used the link, in the last couple of years particularly, please get them to let BW at Wigan know, at this email address – for the attention of Ruth Moran
