NABO pleased with initial response to Crick

After the first day of the Crick Show, NABO Chairman feels "the effort has been justified".

As usual it rained all day on the first day of the Crick Show, which started on Saturday.

David Fletcher (pictured centre with Richard Carpenter (r) and John Slee (l), who with other Council Members have been manning NABO's return to the Show, said " We debated long and hard about committing resources to space and the necessary display material's needed – but already, after just one day, I am very pleased with the response".

NABO felt that taking a presence at the Show would give all our members a chance to find us and for us to catch up with their fears and issues face to face – in particular with all the changes facing the waterways and its future structure.

A full report on the show from NABO's perspective, plus responses and reactions will follow on the web site and in the next edition of NABO News once the Show has finished, however some significant numbers of new members have already joined us.
