British Waterways has announced that the Kennet & Avon Canal is now classified as having ‘cruiseway’ status.

Heres a Press release issued by British Waterways on 16th March.

BW are inviting your comments: There is a public survey currently running on Waterscape. Link from http://www.waterscape.com/

We'd encourage all boaters to have a go at this and let BW know what you like and don't like about their online presence. It takes around ten minutes and there are plenty of spaces for making narrative comments.

More and more of us rely on the web to get info from BW so let them know what you want and like.

As part of NABO's ongoing monitoring of British Waterways' mooring policies, we asked Sally Ash, Head of Boating, to provide us with any available data relating to the policy of reducing on-line moorings. We were grateful to be given the link to a document
