The Easter Boat Gathering 2012 at the National Waterways Museum, Ellesmere Port, is set to be a spectacular celebration of narrowboat culture, so if you are a narrowboat owner why not come and join us?
The four day event, which runs from April 6 – 9, also features music from a Sea Shanty festival.
Other events across the festival include demonstrations of traditional crafts, lectures, children’s activities, real ale festival and more. Shanty singers will be performing around the site during the day and will also be holding concerts in the evenings.
The Easter Boat Gathering is the biggest weekend in the museum’s calendar and the museum will be welcoming hundreds of members of the public, who will be able to explore the collections and museum boats, as well as taking in the sights and sounds of the Gathering.
There is still time to get involved by bringing your boat to the Easter Boat Gathering and moorings at the museum over the Easter weekend for visiting boats are free. The museum is taking registrations for boats now and you can be part of this festival by calling on 0151 355 5017.
