NABO Council are now finalising the Association's comments. Members can read a draft by signing in.

NABO is very supportive of the NWC and welcomes the start of a new era. The canals are far too important to be run by the Government and it is time for change. But there are some key issues for boaters, and they can depend on NABO to say what is necessary in their response to the consultation.

Anybody can make an individual response to DEFRA if they wish. A simple e-mail note saying that you support the concept is fine. In addition you could make any particular point about the waterways using your own words. Send it to : NWCresponses@defra.gsi.gov.uk
