The Inland Waterways Advisory Council has been closely involved in the debate about the future of BW and the proposal to create a third sector body.
In recent months IWAC has become concerned that, whereas the potential advantages of creating a third sector body have been well publicised, the serious difficulties that face government and BW in managing the transformation have not been fully addressed and the problems have not yet been resolved. For this reason IWAC has prepared a position paper as advice to government and BW and as a contribution to the developing debate We look forward to its general release and conclusions in the next few days.
